Community Meeting - Minutes June 22, 2011
Vice Chairperson Thomas called the meeting to order at 6:37 PM, at Our
Redeemer Lutheran Church. Our host was Commissioner Timothy Thomas. A quorum as
established by call of the roll.

· It was moved by Commissioner Shaw and
seconded by Commissioner Grant to accept the agenda. The motion passed by voice
vote.

Treasurer’s
report –.
The Treasurer, Commissioner Shaw, reported all bills are paid and gave an account balance. She also presented the 3rd Quarter Report. She also reported that a letter from PNC Bank to the Auditor Office stating that ANC5A has no Credit or Debit card.
Recording Secretary –. No report, May minutes was not available for this meeting.
Corresponding Secretary –. No report.
Police Report:
Police Reports: Officer Lucas 4D-405 reported that crime incidents were down in the 4th District. Officer Grimes 5D-503reported that crime incidents were down in the 5th District..
Community Concerns:
The resident asked how they can find out the meeting dates for the Community Meeting and SMD meetings. Both Councilmember Brown and Thomas took question from the community
Commission Business:
Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve a contribution to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church for $100.00, seconded by Commissioner Preston. After discussion on each point all were passed unanimously. There was a discussion and a motion to table the approval of the 3rd quarter report until a meeting schedule July 11, 2011. The quarterly report is due at the end of August. Mayor Gray announced Yolanda Branch as the Acting Director for the District of Columbia Auditor Office.
Invited Guest:
Councilmember Harry Thomas, Jr. Ward 5, spoke
on the status of the ward and he will be appointing members from the ANC.s,
Civic Leaders and resident to serve on the redistricting committee. . Councilmember at Large Michael Brown spoke
on the re-districting of the Wards in the city and the fiscal year 2012 budget. Councilmember Orange was also invited and was
unable to attend.

DDOT Jerry Bellemy
§ 5A-11, Commissioner Grant had a
meeting on June 14 with the DOES to inform us about the 3 career service
centers, due to the closing of Franklin Street. We will also be meeting in July
to discuss Redistricting.
